2011 Valentine's Day Giveaway from Jewels of the OBX

I'm so excited to share with you my new customizable photo frame bracelet, "X's and O's." The OBX photo can be replaced with another picture of your choice by using the small opening on the top of the frame. It features pewter glass pearls, red rondelle beads and is embellished with a 12mm red Swarovski crystal heart and pewter glass pearl drop. The bracelet is finished with a 25x13mm antiqued silver magnetic clasp with accent red Swarovski crystals. The finished bracelet size is approximately 7 and 3/4 inches.

If you would like to win your own "X's and O's" bracelet, just in time for Valentine's Day, here's what you'll need to do:

1. Go to the Jewels of the OBX website and login to join to become a member. (Please look for your automatic confirmation email from Jewels of the OBX upon joining).

2. If you are already a member, please email me at jewelsoftheobx@embarqmail.com to say you are a member and you want to be entered in the contest. (This is to make sure I have everyone's current email address and don't leave anyone out).

3. Tell your family and friends about the contest so they can enter too!

That's all there is to it!

Only one entry per person (U.S. entries only). The deadline to enter the contest is midnight, Sunday, FEBRUARY 6, 2011. The winner will be notified via their email address. The winner will need to provide their physical address at that time and the bracelet will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail in a cute red hologram box inside a red foil gift bag. Every effort will be made so that the winner can receive the bracelet on or before Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2011.

Now, just a note about joining the Jewels of the OBX website ... in doing so, you'll also receive 10% off a future purchase and emails are sent out periodically featuring product updates, special offers and coupons. However, you don't have to worry about many emails from me, they are VERY limited. I would much rather be at the desk designing more jewelry than sending emails! In addition, I will never share your email address or any personal information you provide to me with anyone else or any other entity. Your privacy is very important to me.

So, good luck everyone and as always ... see you on the beach!

Happy New Year beach lovers!

Happy New Year to all of you beach lovers! With a brand new year, I decided it was time for a brand new look for Jewels of the OBX, something a little more streamline, updated and simple. If Starbucks can do it ... ! Anyway, I hope you like it.

Cold weather (and yes, some snow) has settled onto the Outer Banks and it's the perfect time to start thinking about warmer days ahead and, of course, pretty beachy jewelry. With that in mind, I tracked down those beautiful dyed natural shell beads purchased last fall at the Intergalactic Bead Show in Chesapeake and put them to good use. They've been so much fun to work with, I wish I had bought more! The copper findings waiting patiently in my red Kaboodles box (oh, come on, you know you kept yours from the 80's, too!) were also pulled out to use with the shells. The copper and shells really look good together.

Here are a few of my latest creations, I hope you'll like them. You'll find more details on each on the website, Jewels of the OBX.

Category 3 bracelets ... I can't stop!

My Category 3 bracelets have been so much fun to work with, I just can't stop. My favorite part is showcasing the round Czech druk beads and since the available colors are practically endless, there may quite possibly be a bracelet using every one before I'm through! The original Category 3 bracelet and matching earrings which incorporates copper druk beads is at Cloud Nine in Nags Head. I hope you can stop by to view it and other select pieces while you're visiting the Outer Banks this holiday.

See you on the beach!
